If you’re one of the some who like it hot, you’ll want to join fellow enthusiasts at Jungle Jim’s Weekend of Fire: Hot Sauce and Hot Rides, taking place on August 24 and 25.
In its 15th year, the largest fiery food show in the Midwest returns to the international market’s Oscar Event Center in Fairfield. In past years, over 2,000 people have attended the annual two-day event.
Hot sauces, salsas, mustards, rubs, marinades, beef jerky and plenty more of the spicy foods you love will be available to sample—and purchase—if you find that favorite pick with a kick.
“If you ever wished to try a wide variety of spicy or hot foods, this is the event for you,” says Zack Cobb, Jungle Jim’s creative director. “I compare this to a public version of a sampling show in the retail food industry, where vendors offer you tasting samples of their product.”
Enter the Arena of Fire
Do you consider yourself a champ at taking the heat? Sign up—if you dare—and enter the Arena of Fire! That’s where participating vendors will compete in spicy recipe challenges. It might be hot pickles or flaming pizzas, or who knows? Go head-to-head with family and friends in a battle of wills to see who beats the burn! Keep an eye out for sign-up booths at the show to join the fun. Spaces are limited.
Refresh in the Cool Zone
If you can’t take the heat…even for a few minutes, it’s time to visit our all-new Weekend of Fire Cool Zone! Take a break from the heat with refreshing drinks and treats to sample for between-fire cool downs, then dive back into the spice you love!
Do a Tabasco dash
Craft your own hot and spicy cocktail at The Singe Bar! Jungle Jim’s bartenders will provide the spirits for you to make what you deem to be the perfect Bloody Mary. Try something new and make it as mild or as wild as you want.
Hang out with the hot rides
On Sunday, over 50 hot rides from Cincy Cool Cars Club will shine in the Oscar Station parking lot. Touring the car show is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required for full access to the Weekend of Fire festival next door.
Fun for the whole family
Showgoers of all ages will love the live music and creative entertainers including stilt walkers, fire performers, balloon twisters, LED performers, and more. A 360 Photo Booth will be available to capture the day’s fun memories.
Show hours are 11am – 6pm on Saturday and 11am – 4pm on Sunday.
Tickets are $2 for children ages 5 and under, and $15 ages 6 and up. (plus tax and service fee)
